SIS prides itself on promoting student engagement and offers several different avenues for students to connect with each other, faculty, staff, and guest speakers.
The SIS Student Lounge provides a space for students to interact with other students from all of our programs. It also provides access to important SIS documents, faculty office hour Zoom links, and recordings of previous events.
About once a month during the Fall and Spring semesters, SIS hosts an informal gathering called virtual coffee hours. The meetings typically include a guest speaker or focus on a particular topic of interest suggested by students. All virtual coffee hours are recorded and shared in the student lounge for those who cannot attend live.
During the first month of the Fall and Spring semester, the SIS Director holds a virtual student townhall. These events provide students with important updates regarding SIS programs and upcoming events. The townhalls are also an opportunity for students to raise questions or concerns with the Director.
