August Move-in

Winter Break Closing

  • Residence halls close for winter break on December 14, 2024, at 8 p.m.

  • Residents in residence halls - not apartments - must vacate the room within 24-hours of your last exam or by December 14, 2024, at 8 p.m., whichever comes first.

  • Pentagon and Broussard Hall residents must turn in their room keys at their service desk before leaving campus. 
  • Attend your floor's closing meeting the last week in November, and view the checklist from your RA for steps to prepare for winter break, like thawing out refrigerator, removing bedding, setting temperature, etc. 

  • Submit an extension request form in the housing portal by noon on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, to request an extension to remain in the hall until noon on Sunday, December 15, 2024.

  • If you are not returning to on-campus housing for the spring semester, review spring cancellation penalties and officially cancel your housing agreement, preferably by December 1, and complete a check-out appointment with your live-in staff.

    • Remove your belongings and turn in keys by Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 8:00 p.m.

    • If you cancel after December 14, 2024, contact us to arrange a date/time to remove your belongings.

January Reopening

  • Residence halls reopen at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Complete express check-in when you arrive at your community.

  • Pentagon and Broussard Hall residents can get their room key at their service desk when returning to campus. 

  • If you're moving to campus for the first time, staff is available at your community's service desk to check you in between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. January 11-13, 2025.

  • Notify us if you will arrive after the first day of classes so we can hold your space.

May Closing

  • Vacate the res hall by 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025, or within 24-hours of your last exam, whichever comes first.

  • Complete an extension request in the housing portal by noon, Wednesday, May 7, 2025, to request to remain in the hall until 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 11.

  • Follow check-out instructions given by your in-hall staff. Note that after you complete the check out walk through with your RA and approve your room's condition report, a professional staff member will also inspect the room to confirm its condition before entering any charges to your account.

August Move-in

Winter Break

  • East Campus Apartments, West Campus Apartments, and Nicholson Gateway Apartments remain open during the winter break. 

  • Students graduating in December must check out and remove all belongings by Noon on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

  • If you are not returning to on-campus housing for the spring semester, review spring cancellation penalties and officially cancel your housing agreement, preferably by December 1, and complete a check-out appointment with your live-in staff.

    • Remove your belongings and turn in keys by Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 8:00 p.m.
    • If you cancel after December 14, 2024, contact us to arrange a date/time to remove your belongings.

January Reopening

  • Apartment residents need to complete spring semester express check in starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025, to retain access to the room and building. Look for details in your email inbox. 

 

May Closing

  • Vacate the apartments by 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2025, or within 24-hours of your last exam, whichever comes first.

  • Complete an extension request in the housing portal by noon, Wednesday, May 7, 2025, to request to remain in the room until 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 11, 2025. 

  • Follow check-out instructions given by your in-hall staff. Note that after you complete the check out walk through with your RA and approve your room's condition report, a professional staff member will also inspect the room to confirm its condition before entering any charges to your account.

  • Nicholson Gateway Apartment residents with a 12-month housing agreement do not check out in May.
