Glossaria is a database housed on the Linguistics website containing searchable editions of Anglo-Saxon glossaries. The project eventually plans to include most medieval European glossaries. Project directors are Lisi Oliver, LSU and David Porter, Southern University.

The Journal of Mayan Linguistics is housed at LSU and edited by M. Jill Brody.
A language variation laboratory is housed in the Department of French Studies, and one in speech physiology and acoustics is located in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.
Extensive reference materials, available to students at all levels, include audiotapes and transcripts of Cajun French and Cajun English, audio and video tapes of different varieties of U.S. Spanish collected from adolescents and adults, a transcript database from children speaking rural Louisiana dialects, audiotapes of fluent aphasic speech, and written Louisiana dialectic materials in library Special Collections. These resources combine with our phonetic, acoustic, and psychological laboratories to provide readily available data for researchers.
