Official transcripts include academic work, including course name, letter grades, hours earned, hours carried, quality points, semester GPA, LSU GPA, and Cumulative GPA. Degrees earned, including your college, Major, Minor, and Concentration. Undergraduate transcripts include transfer work. If a student attended LSU for undergraduate and graduate school or Vet School the transcript will be a complete reflection of their time here, the record cannot be split. Law School Students can request just their Law Record or a complete transcript of their time at LSU. Other notations may be included.
No, the Registrar’s Office only issues official transcripts. Current students have access to an unofficial transcript equivalent in their MyLSU portal by selecting - “Student Services” – then select “College Record”

No. All orders must be placed through Parchment.
If it is your first-time using Parchment, you will begin by creating an account. From there you will need to provide various pieces of information including directory information, dates of enrollment, the delivery destination, method of delivery, and a debit or credit card for payment. We do recommend using an email that you have long-term access to instead of your LSU email.
A notarized transcript has an added layer of verification. It is signed and stamped by a local Louisiana Notary to establish the authenticity of the Registrar’s signature on the transcript. This authorization is not typically needed and can add to the processing time, so check with the recipient before selecting this service.
Apostilles are strictly for public documents abroad. The apostilled is an added layer of authenticity to the signature and seal on the transcript for use in foreign embassies or consulates. This certification can add to the processing time and is not always required, so check with the recipient before selecting this service. Apostilles will not be issued for documents intended for use within the United States.

Advance Placement is credit given to a student for earning specific scores on AP examinations.
Yes. To receive a transcript that contains final grades for your current term, choose the “Hold for Final Grades” option when ordering. The order will automatically be processed after commencement. If this option is not selected the transcript will be processed automatically and will not have final grades, GPA, or a degree on the transcript.
You will be notified by Parchment. You will need to contact the office the hold is from to have it cleared. A transcript will not be released until the hold has been cleared off of the student’s account.
Replacement diplomas are ordered through Parchment. Once you have signed into your account, you will be asked to select the document you wish to order. Select “Replacement Diploma.”

If there is a hold placed on your account, you can see the type of hold by logging into your MyLSU portal - select “Registration Services”, then “Student Holds”.
Most students are able to create and edit their own schedule using their myLSU portal – select “Registration Services”, then “Schedule Request”. If you have questions about courses, we encourage students to reach out to their senior college to provide guidance; this is UCFY for freshmen.
Students who have not completed registration before payment due dates will have their classes removed from their schedule. If classes are purges, students should do one of the following:
- If the scheduled class(es) are removed before the last day to add classes, simply reschedule those courses if the class is not full. Students may need to contact their academic advisor.
- If the scheduled class(es) are purged and the student wishes to re-enroll after the last day to add classes, permission must be requested from the Academic Dean’s office.
- LSU Online students will not be permitted to re-enroll into the purged class(es). Online students may work with the academic advisor to determine if the same or equivalent class(es) are available in the next module once the past due balance is satisfied.
Please note: the fee bill balance must be satisfied and the student must complete registration to prevent future purging.
The Academic Calendar will show important dates for all LSU terms including LSU Online
More detailed dates for each individual term are listed with their corresponding term in the Schedule Booklet.
The Tuition and Fee schedules will show a breakdown of tuition and fees for all student classifications. Additionally, you can see a Fee Glossary to further explain items that may appear on your fee bill. Fee bill due dates can be found through Bursar Operations.
Registration is completed on the student's Fee Bill. The Fee Bill can be found on the myLSU portal – select “Registration Services” – then select “Fee Bill”. You will have to pay your balance to complete registration, even if your balance is $0 you still must click Complete Registration.
Students can book appointments with academic advisors using the Navigate app. If you are having trouble scheduling an appointment, please feel free to reach out directly to your department or senior college for assistance with advising. You can find contact information for all the academic areas of campus on the LSU A-Z Directory.
This number is usually set by the department but will never exceed 100 spots for any course
No. A student is added to the waitlist in the order they select to join. There are no options to be placed higher on a waitlist.
Typically, a student is skipped for one of the following reasons:
- Adding the waitlisted course would exceed the student’s credit hour max
- The student is missing the required prerequisite(s) for the course
- There is a time conflict
Should the student feel that none of these criteria should affect their being placed in the course, they should speak with an academic advisor in their senior college to investigate further.
Students can join ONE waitlist per course, and a max of THREE per term.
In your MyLSU portal, students can see what number they are on the waitlist as well as how many other students are currently on the waitlist.
Yes. Using the MyLSU portal, a student can indicate they want the system to automatically drop a class that would cause a time conflict with the waitlisted course.
The last system process that places students from the waitlist into available seats runs just before 12 midnight the day before the calendar date noted as the final day to drop a class without a W.
You will remain on the waitlist until a maximum number of THREE skips has been reached. If a student is skipped three times they are removed from the waitlist.
No. Students are unable to be simultaneously scheduled for a course and also be on a waitlist for the same course with a different section number.
